The Upper Talvera flows through the spectacular Sarentino Valley gorge, running between vertical rock walls, alpine forests, and scenic castles surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. Talvera River
The Talvera is a valley river flowing through the city of Bolzano. Its waters offer ideal conditions for modern nymph fishing, while also providing excellent opportunities for dry fly and streamer fishing during the most favorable periods. The Isarco is one of our most appreciated rivers, thanks to the quality of its fish population and the variety of its structure. Trout are distributed throughout the river and require a careful and precise approach. The best conditions are usually found in spring and early autumn. Nymph fishing finds an ideal environment here, while streamer fishing can offer exciting opportunities to target the "queen": the Marble Trout.

Ega Creek
The Ega Stream is a typical alpine watercourse, characterized by cold, crystal-clear waters flowing through sections of weirs, riffles, and deep pools. The fish population is mainly composed of wild Brown Trout, consistently distributed throughout the stream, with occasional encounters with Rainbow Trout and Marble Trout. Conditions can change significantly depending on the season and water levels, making every fishing experience unique.

Yes. The advanced courses are directly based on my experience as a national-level competition angler. They are designed for anglers who want to make a real step forward in their skills, especially in modern nymph fishing and in the way they interpret fly fishing. The goal is not just to "fish better", but to deeply understand modern fly fishing: drift control, water reading, depth management, and tactical decision-making based on real river conditions. It is a very practical approach, built on the field, coming directly from what works in the most selective and competitive fishing situations.
Depending on the season, river conditions, and your goals, we can focus on different techniques: modern nymph fishing, indicator nymphing, dry fly fishing, dry-dropper, and streamer fishing. Each trip is planned to make the most of the current conditions.
There is no single answer. Spring often offers excellent conditions for nymph fishing, summer brings great hatches for dry fly fishing, while autumn can be one of the best periods to target larger fish. Each season has its own characteristics and opportunities.
Yes. Each river and lake is regulated by specific permits and daily licenses. Before your trip, I will help you identify and obtain all the necessary documentation.
If you already have your own gear, you are welcome to use it. Otherwise, equipment can be arranged depending on availability. I always recommend bringing appropriate outdoor clothing, polarized sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen.
For dry fly fishing, I generally use a 9 ft #3-4 or #5 rod. For modern nymph fishing, I prefer 10 or 11 ft rods in #2 or #3. For streamer fishing, the choice ranges from a #6 for lighter setups to #7, #8, or #9 for larger streamers.
Classic patterns always work very well in our waters. In any case, I can recommend or provide the most effective flies depending on the season, the river, and the conditions we will encounter during the day.
The fishing season generally runs from April to the end of October. However, some alpine streams and lakes follow different regulations, with specific opening and closing dates depending on local management.
Guided trips can be conducted in Italian or English, allowing me to welcome anglers from all over the world.
